Size Guide

Here at Gabor, we constantly strive to offer our customers the perfect fit when it comes to our shoes. Our sturdy designs and comfortable fabrics play a part in this, but the most important part of buying a new pair of shoes is choosing the correct size for your feet. You should always consult our essential size guide before you decide to snap up that perfect pair to ensure that you have opted for the correct sizing to protect and support your feet properly.

Gabor Wide Fitting Shoes

We also offer a large variety of footwear styles for those who require wide fitting shoes, which provide wider feet with a bit of extra room to ensure an amazing level of comfort. Our wide fit shoes offer broader and deeper sections for the toes, as well as more space up around the instep, giving your feet the room that they need to remain comfortable and avoiding the unpleasant feeling caused by shoes that are too small.

The sizing of wide fit shoes is typically indicated as a letter or series of letters; however, these can often vary from brand to brand, meaning that your width fitting may not be the same across all manufacturers. For our range of women’s shoes, we use the German width fitting F, G and H to indicate whether each pair of shoes offers a narrow, standard or wide fit.

In the table below, we have converted each of our width options into the UK width format, so that you can choose an option that is right for you.

How Wide are our Women’s Wide Fit Shoes?

The width of our wide fit shoes varies depending on the shoe size, which means that they don’t adhere to a specific measurement. For example, a Gabor size 7 wide fit shoe will be wider than a size 5 shoe, so be sure to always try them on to ensure that they are the correct width for you. Based on a UK size, the average width of a standard size 6 shoe is 9cm, whereas a wide fit shoe will measure around 10cm in width to allow for more room to accommodate your feet.

To measure your foot width, simply use a tape measure or a ruler to measure the widest part of your foot, which is usually just below the toes. Once you have this measurement, be sure to opt for a shoe that is slightly wider than this to allow for maximum comfort as you walk.

Calf Sizing for our Boots

If you’re looking to buy a pair of our knee-high boots, take note of our selection of widths to find an option that fits you perfectly. Widths may vary depending on the style of each pair of boots.
