Autumn bucket list: the top things to do this season.

Crisp air, spiced hot drinks, warm blankets and crunchy leaves; autumn is such a dreamy time of year. With the season well and truly underway, why not embrace the festivities this cosy season? We’ve put together a bucket list of feel-good activities that capture the joy of autumn. Don’t watch another season slip away, make the most of the cooler days and create some memories!

Visit a pumpkin patch

Pumpkin picking only comes around once a year and is perfect for embracing the spirit of autumn. Enjoy an autumnal drive into the countryside, before browsing different pumpkins at the patch and treating yourself to a delicious hot drink to finish. It’s a wholesome activity and afternoon well spent! Once you get home you could carve your pumpkin for Halloween, or if that isn’t your style make a dish or bake with it.

Make a pumpkin based dish or treat

Who doesn’t love delicious food? Mix up your usual dishes and make something pumpkin based. Not only is there an abundance of them in the supermarkets but they are delicious, and with so many pumpkins readily available it’s the perfect time to experiment. Go on a country walk

Ahh…a refreshing country walk, perfect to clear your head, boost serotonin levels and get some easy exercise in. Sunny autumnal days spent in nature are great for the soul, full of stunning sights and are perfect for re-setting; but don’t let the gloomier days put you off! Cloudy days are just as beautiful and rewarding as when the sunshine makes an appearance, and really get you in the mood for autumn – plus the post-walk coffee tastes even better with a chill in the air.

Watch a sunset

With the nights getting darker there is no excuse to miss a sunset (or even a sunrise). With the sun going down at a sociable hour, it’s never been easier to enjoy the beauty a sunset brings. Take a picture for your Instagram as you watch and grab dinner with friends after to make a night of it, or just pause and watch out of your window after work. The orange hues are somehow enhanced this time of year, making them extra special to witness.

Host a movie night

With Halloween right around the corner, why not host a movie night watching your favourite cosy Halloween films? From Hocus Pocus to Insidious, there’s something for everyone. Order in a take-away, curl up on the sofa and enjoy.

Upgrade your wardrobe

Possibly our favourite activity on the list, upgrading your wardrobe is always a feel-good task. Clear out your wardrobe and donate anything you don’t want before purchasing some new staples. We recommend going for timeless pieces to last for years to come. Take a look at our new in page to refresh your footwear: click me

Go on a festive coffee date

Whether with your other half or a group of friends, new season catch-ups are always needed. Visit your local coffee shop and share life updates over a pumpkin spiced latte or a toffee nut hot chocolate.

Decorate for Halloween

Decorating for Halloween doesn’t have to be gory and gimmicky! Add a spiced scented candle and an autumnal wreath to your front door for a muted touch. If spider webs and fake blood are more your thing – go for it! Whatever sparks joy this season is a must.

Collect conkers

If you’re not a fan of spiders it’s time to start collecting conkers. Known to ward off eight-legged friends, placing a conker in each room in the house is known to keep them at bay. Enjoy the outdoors with a country or park walk and collect them while strolling in the sunshine.

Watch your local fireworks display

Autumn doesn’t end in October! Wrap up warm and enjoy your local fireworks display this bonfire night and safely watch the sparks dazzle across the night sky.
