As the new season rolls in, so do new fashion trends, trickling down from runways and red carpets and into our wardrobes. It’s a time to experiment and try something different, spicing up your usual looks and having some fun.
Craving your next fashion fix? We’ve put together four of our favourite footwear trends from the A/W 2024 fashion shows that you need to try out.
Moto Biker Boots
We’re all familiar with the classic lace up biker boot, an everlasting trend that has become a well-established wardrobe staple. Although a classic will never go out of fashion, it’s definitely time to make room in your wardrobe for its sister style. The Moto biker boots have been flooding fashion weeks for a couple of years now and are here to stay. But what’s the difference between a classic biker boot and the Moto biker boot? The Moto follows a straighter silhouette and tends to be slightly taller, and of course they are embellished to the max, decorated with metal rings, leather straps and studs – providing a bolder look.
Our favourites are the Blake calf length boots and the Buford biker boots.
Oxblood Red
The colour of the season for the second year in a row, Oxblood red is here to stay. Burgundy tones dominated runways this year and for good reason, versatile and incredibly chic this colour adds a stylish pop to any outfit, complimenting autumnal and winter tones perfectly. Denim, cream, khaki…even pink looks expensive with a deep red. Although some could find it intimidating to style at first, it really is easy once you get into the swing of it and adds an effortless touch of style to any look.
We recommend the Flamboyant ankle boots and the Squeeze shoes if you’re looking to join in on the justified hype.
Ballet Flats
Dainty, delicate and absolutely everywhere; ballet flats are back with a bang. Appearing on runways all over the world, ballet flats have been dominating the style scene for the last couple of years. Despite always been a fashion staple, their popularity has well and truly boomed and it would be silly to neglect such a stylish and convenient slip-on shoe. Mix it up with different colours and textures, pairing with any casual look to switch up from your usual trainers or loafers.
Try our Maloy ballet pumps and the Picnic ballet pumps for on-trend staples that will take you from season to season.
Western Boot
Cowboy boots were truly the shoe of the summer, whether it be supermodels at Glastonbury or our favourite morning hosts on TV -everybody was wearing them, and it looks like they’ll be transitioning into autumn with us too. Spotted on runways layered under maxi dresses and paired with denim, these statement boots are ideal for shoppers looking for a unique autumnal look. They may not be a traditional choice but we’re all for it.
Our Kirsten calf length boots and Paloma ankle boots are perfect to add a touch of western to everyday looks.
