The beginning of a new year brings with it fresh new ambitions and a can-do mentality. However, it is critical that you do not overload yourself with reinvention. Here at Gabor Shoes, we have gathered some tips on how to approach a “clean slate” without getting caught up in the hussle and bustle of change and expectations.

Set Realistic Goals
Setting goals and being motivated to check off as many items on your list as possible can be a good thing, but it can lead to burnout too soon. Instead, take your time to build yourself up and make your goals reasonable. Accomplishing smaller tasks can not only improve your mood but also keep you motivated to achieve more!

Try New Experiences
Exploring new prospects could be a pleasant and significant adventure for you this year, resulting in a new passion or hobby. There are numerous options available to you, such as sports, dance, and cooking. Anything is possible! You might even meet new friends along the road who share your hobbies, or you could bring friends with you to experience them with you and create lasting memories.

Make time for yourself
Maintaining a professional and social life can be exhausting even for the fittest among us, so take the opportunity to give yourself some well-deserved “me time” to recharge your batteries emotionally and physically. It can also help the brain relax after a busy few days.
Whether it’s for a few hours a week or on a specific day. We recommend doing something relaxing, e.g. Reading your favorite book or do a few minutes of yoga. It’s entirely up to you, as long as you can put your head down and relax.

Journaling
Journaling is a great way to keep track of your progress or jot down any thoughts you may have so that by the end of the year, you can see how far you have come. It can also help improve memory and regulate emotions. Such as improving communication skills, coping with anxiety and increasing creativity.

Exercise
January is known as the “gym rush month,” and arguably the most common New Year’s resolution is And the month that brings in the largest percentage of sign-ups However, for some, it can be overwhelming and a little daunting, and that is understandable! Exercising doesn’t necessarily mean going to the gym nonstop. It’s okay to train to meet your needs in a comfortable environment for yourself.
Exercise can be yoga for an hour a day; it can be going for a long walk or run (even more fun when you bring your dog with you) or going swimming in the mornings. You can figure out what works best for you and go at your own pace before raising the level and intensity.
You can achieve anything you set your mind to; it shouldn’t be “new year, new me,” which has been used over and over. Take every day as it comes with a fresh mindset instead of putting pressure on yourself to change. Use the clean slate to challenge yourself and mentally stimulate yourself to learn new skills while always being positive. You can do it!
