The best sandals for wide feet
Summer is all about those pieces that can flex between anything, whether that be the plans of the day or your overall mood. For that reason, we're loving those lightweight everyday pairs that go with absolutely everything. You know the kind -- those easy-on, roomy kind of styles. For us, finding quality footwear you can wear again and again is about prioritising individual comfort and style. That's why we're all about securing the perfect fit with adjustable rip tape fastenings and elasticated fittings.
Whether it's thanks to cramped toes or an overall discomfort, we understand the disappointment that comes when ordering ill-fitting shoes- especially when you have naturally wider feet. And hoping a pair will eventually give isn't always an easy thing to do either, especially when the warmer weather is at play! So why struggle? Sandal season is upon us and we're prioritising wider fitting styles we know will look and feel great in the sun, you should too...
The Everyday Staple
Despite our love for the classic buckle, we're obsessed with easy-on, breathable sandal styles this summer. Oporto is no exception. With soft suede uppers sitting atop a small covered wedge heel sole, they're one of our favourites this season. Equipped with a rip-tape fastening for easy on-off styling, they'll soon be your most worn pair too. Nothing beats slipping feet into soft and roomy wearing and, with PU soles and nubuck uppers, Oporto sandals certainly feel as good as they look.
How to style: A classic everyday style, Oporto sandals dress up casual staples in favour of all-day wearing. As a result, they pair perfectly with shorts, tops, dresses and more. Our rule of thumb, style Oporto with anything you would wear on a morning beach walk to create a complementary look that is both relaxed and stylish.
The Trendy Metallic
In an effortless slingback style, Reese sandals in puder satin make for effortless day-to-dinner dressing. While the open-toe slingback has always been a wardrobe staple, there’s something extra special about this pair. Perhaps, it's their glittery elasticated fastening that draws the eye. The feature does, after all, stylishly ensure easy-on and adjustable wearing. With soft suede uppers and a sturdy wedge sole too, Reese Sandals are a wide-fitting pair that embody our two favourite things, comfort and style.
How to style: You can dress this versatile style up and down thanks to its unique oversized oval detailing. Simply pair them with silver accessories to create "put-together" looks. Our advice? Let the shoe make the statement.
The Beach-to-bar
Now that summer is here, Sidcot are the style we're constantly reaching for. With woven leather uppers and an on-trend platform sole, this sandal style is one you can easily make capsule. What's more, it has elasticated gussets and a buckle fastening too. These features ensure a secure and roomy fitting. From sunset dinners abroad to barbeques in the garden, trust us you'll never want to take them off.
How to style: A versatile style you can, and should revisit year after year, Sidcot pairs well with a number of sundresses and midi-skirts. Alternatively, wear wide-legged linen trousers for a chic light-layers look.
