Mother’s Day Style Guide: What to Wear This Mothering Sunday
Mother’s Day is around the corner, encouraging a little reflection, saying thank you, and celebrating the women who do the most every single day. Whether it’s a long, laughter-filled brunch, a quick coffee between Sunday hobbies, dropping off thoughtful gifts, visiting family, or even sneaking away for a spa afternoon, the day calls for something special.
At Gabor, we believe feeling appreciated starts from the ground up. So, this March, we’ve curated a style guide designed for wherever Mothering Sunday takes you. Think effortless elegance, thoughtful details and, of course, comfort that carries you from morning plans to evening celebrations.
Because while every day deserves a polished look, there’s something lovely about having one devoted entirely to mothers, where dressing up and feeling good is called for.
The West
For a wholesome Sunday stroll, the kind that turns into a coffee date or an unexpected catch-up, the West trainer is your go-to.
Casual but elevated, it’s perfect for mums who love being outdoors but still want to feel put-together. This season, we’re spotlighting the white West with leopard print detailing. The low-profile, retro-inspired silhouette is crafted from leather, with a leopard print tongue and ankle padding that adds a touch of personality. Neutral enough to style with anything, yet bold enough to feel considered.
A leather lining offers comfort for long walks, while the thermoplastic rubber sole provides grip and support. The 2.5cm sole keeps every step wearable, and the removable insole allows for a customised fit, because comfort is non-negotiable.
Style it with brown pleated trousers to complement the warm tones of the leopard print. Add a classic white tee and a leopard cardigan, and finish with a claw clip for that effortless ‘I threw this on’ polish.
It’s comfort with character, exactly what a busy Sunday demands.
The Dulford
Dinner plans in the diary? This is where The Dulford shines.
When boots feel too heavy and trainers too relaxed, a ballet flat steps in beautifully. Feminine, light and endlessly versatile, the Dulford adds the perfect finishing touch to a midi dress when spring is in the air.
Crafted from mixed synthetic uppers with a soft fleece lining, it offers subtle sophistication without trying too hard. The 2cm synthetic sole gives a discreet lift, while the easy slip-on design keeps things practical when you’re on the go.
The delicate bow detail at the front pairs beautifully with a heavier denim midi dress, a contrast that feels intentional rather than overpowering. To tie in the oak colourway, layer with a striped oak flowy shirt for a look that feels thoughtfully styled from head to toe.
Proof that elegance really can live in the details.
The Baby
For the mums who move seamlessly from work to weekend plans, the Baby loafer is the ultimate companion.
Smart yet comfortable, it’s crafted from smooth suede with a soft textile lining for all-day wear. The TR sole provides essential grip for busier days, while twin elastic gussets make slipping them on and off effortless. A subtle 3cm heel adds lift, and the wider fit with removable insoles ensures a more personalised feel.
Finished with a decorative buckle that blends seamlessly into the upper, the Baby delivers quiet luxury with everyday practicality.
We’ve styled it with a navy-focused look to complement the deep blue suede. Think dark denim jeans, a pale blue collared shirt layered under a navy knitted waistcoat, and a final touch of polish with a claw clip. It’s intentional dressing made simple, prepared for whatever the day brings.
The Wisdom
Mother’s Day in March often means brunches, afternoon teas and embracing those first true hints of spring. Enter: pastel tones and fresh colour palettes.
This month, we’re loving dusky blue, a shade forecast to carry us well into summer 2026. Soft, versatile and quietly striking, it feels fresh without overwhelming your look.
The Wisdom enhances that softness with its suede upper and supportive 3.5cm ribbed synthetic sole. Designed for transitional dressing, it also features a removable insole for a personalised fit and subtle zip detailing for ease when slipping them on. The matching blue laces melt seamlessly into the design, adding interest without fuss.
Pair the Wisdom with white tapered jeans, a wardrobe essential this time of year, and a butter yellow t-shirt blazer styled as a top. Let a chunky necklace rest along the décolletage for a refined finish. Complete the look with a dusky blue accessory, whether that’s a scrunchie or a knotted headband.
Fresh, feminine and perfectly suited for a celebratory afternoon.
However You Celebrate…
Whether your Mother’s Day calls for trainers, ballet flats, suede staples or soft pastels, the goal is the same: to feel confident, comfortable and chic.
These looks aren’t just for one Sunday in March; they’re timeless, luxurious pieces that work for every plan in your calendar. So, whether you follow our guide or style it your own way, step into Mothering Sunday feeling like your best self.
