Dress to Impress This Bonfire Night
Remember, remember the 5th of November, and remember it in style with Gabor.
For us, Bonfire Night marks the real start of winter dressing. While winter officially begins in December, the colder, crisper air has already arrived, darker nights have settled in, and suddenly our favourite coats, cosy knits, scarves and winter boots are back in rotation.
Whether you are heading to a local fireworks display, gathering around a bonfire with friends or hosting your own cosy evening, there is something about Bonfire Night that gets us excited for the months ahead. And when it comes to dressing for early November, the answer is simple: boots.
From ankle boots to knee-high styles, Gabor has a silhouette for every winter plan, combining considered design with comfort, warmth and practicality.
The Palette
New and taking centre stage this season is the Palette ankle boot. It brings a subtle cowboy-inspired feel to an effortlessly stylish silhouette. Crafted from timeless leather and lined in soft microfibre, it is made for the unpredictable conditions of Bonfire Night, while the durable TR sole offers grip across a variety of surfaces.
The 4cm block heel adds a little lift without exaggerated height, helping to create a stable, comfortable feel for evenings spent on your feet. A removable insole offers a more adaptable fit, while the easy zip fastening makes getting ready wonderfully simple. Finished with a discreet silver emblem strap around the ankle, it adds just the right amount of luxe.
For our Bonfire Night outfit, we have styled the Palette with dark straight-leg denim and a rich burgundy knit. A dark grey and burgundy checked jacket adds another layer of autumnal texture, while silver jewellery and cosy earmuffs complete the look.

The Leo
A classic lace-up boot is a winter wardrobe essential, and Leo brings a timeless feel to autumn dressing. Crafted from high-quality leather and lined in microfibre, it combines everyday comfort with durability, while the TR sole provides grip across a range of surfaces.
The 3cm block heel offers subtle elevation, with both lace and zip fastening allowing you to adjust the fit or let the zip do the work. A removable insole adds further flexibility.
For a more dressed-up Bonfire Night outfit, we paired the Leo with a sleek midi leather skirt and soft grey knit. Silver detailing on the knit and jewellery picks up on the boot's silver eyelets, while a dark green bomber jacket adds a relaxed contrast to the streamlined leather. With different textures, layers and lengths, it is a sophisticated take on winter dressing.

The Balban
Sometimes all we need is jeans and a jumper, and that is where the Balban comes in.
The soft mocca suede upper brings warmth and texture to everyday autumn dressing, creating a beautiful contrast against heavier knits and denim. Lined for comfort and finished with a mixed rubber and latex sole, the Balban offers grip and durability, while the 3cm heel makes it an easy everyday choice. The lace and zip fastening combination allows for a more personalised and easy fit, essential for colder days on your feet.
We have styled it with dark blue straight-leg denim and a pale yellow knit, proving that winter dressing does not have to mean sticking to dark shades. A cropped brown puffer jacket, a claw clip and a leopard-print scarf bring the warmer tones together for a relaxed, smart-casual finish.

The Verity
Let the Verity make an elegant entrance into your Bonfire Night plans with its luxurious leather knee-high silhouette. Lined in microfibre, it offers a warm and comfortable feel, while the durable TPU sole provides grip across hard and softer surfaces. Its 5.5cm block heel adds a refined elevation, while the longline side zip and subtle stretch gusset make it easy to wear and comfortable around the leg.
And don't assume knee-high boots are reserved for short skirts, tights or skinny jeans. We love them styled beneath longer lengths, where they can almost disappear beneath a midi-skirt while keeping your legs warm underneath.
Here, we have paired the Verity with a lighter-toned midi tie-waist skirt, allowing the rich burgundy shade of the boot to stand out. A soft grey wool knit, khaki-green jacket, beige and plum scarf, and statement earrings complete this effortlessly elegant winter look.
